The grocery items that are corn based will definitely see a rise in prices. Keep your eye out for the buy-one-get-one-free deals which can amount to savings. We all know the price of peanut butter has not gone down, but up. This is one item that stays stocked in our pantries so any deals you find on this staple is worth stocking up.
We have seen the grocery prices rise for some time now, but the story on the drought will probably hit our wallets even more. Start saving so you can still buy the favorites you and the family have come to enjoy.
Farming, even with all the modern technology, is dependent on things beyond the farmers' control. Keeps us humble.

DeleteI really agree with you on this one Cynthia. We live in a small town and it is more expensive here than the larger town 50 miles away. This is where we drive to shop, making sure staples are bought first. Just today, we heard on the news the price of ice cream is going up...one man said a plastic bucket cost him $7! I think I might do what some are doing...going to the butcher and buying a pig and a cow, dressed! LOL! Sorry to take up so much space.
