Tip of the Day

Here's an inexpensive way to keep your skin moisturized during the winter season. Use petroleum jelly (or Vaseline as I refer to it) to your body to keep the skin from flaking and drying out. If you plan to be out shoveling snow or walking the dog, apply the Vaseline to your face before putting on the ski mask-type hat to keep the air that seeps in from drying out the skin. Also, keep a small jar in your car or purse to apply especially to your lips when dashing around on errands. At bedtime, apply Vaseline on your feet concentrating on the heels before putting on socks to help keep the feet soft overnight.

  1. You can also put it on your hands at night and wear cotton gloves.

  2. Nice suggestion as our hands can stay so dry with all the washing and stuff. Thanks!
