Tip of the Day

Here's an inexpensive way to keep your skin moisturized during the winter season. Use petroleum jelly (or Vaseline as I refer to it) to your body to keep the skin from flaking and drying out. If you plan to be out shoveling snow or walking the dog, apply the Vaseline to your face before putting on the ski mask-type hat to keep the air that seeps in from drying out the skin. Also, keep a small jar in your car or purse to apply especially to your lips when dashing around on errands. At bedtime, apply Vaseline on your feet concentrating on the heels before putting on socks to help keep the feet soft overnight.

Budget-Savvy Tip

The dog days of summer are on and the sun can do a lot of damage to your skin. A day at the beach or park can dry out your skin big time. There are plenty of products on the market to keep your skin moisturized, but they can be pricey. Check out this budget-savvy product to use on your skin ->Petroleum Jelly.

The uses for petroleum jelly are endless. Apply it all over your body especially on your face, lips, elbows, knees, and feet. No need to spend lots of money when a simple jar of petroleum jelly will work just fine and won't cost you much either.
