OK, let me just start off by saying how thrilled I am that Good Morning America has taken the #1 morning show spot from the 'Today' show. I know it's just week 1, but we'll see if GMA can stay on top for awhile. I won't hold back my disappointment that the Today show decided to let co-host Ann Curry go. I really did not think new co-host Savannah Guthrie would send the ratings soaring.

I like the 'GMA' hosts and the show has more energy with the various segments. Weatherman Sam Champion is super. Are some 'Today' show viewers on their own boycott of the morning show since the whole Ann Curry thing, maybe. Still the co-hosts have to gel with the audience and it seems the 'Today' show may have come unglued.

There was talk a month ago that the NBC Today show may let Ann Curry go. This was all around the time that the news station was negotiating co-host Matt Lauer's contract which was renewed.

I was very excited when Ann was given the co-host spot after Meredith Vieira announced she was leaving the Today show. Now it seems NBC is ready to find another position for Ann Curry like a foreign correspondent. She snagged an interview with the Iran President earlier this year and that's no small task.

This is just my opinion, but I wonder if the network is moving to bring on a younger co-host. I hope Ann Curry remains on the Today show, but it looks highly unlikely.

The trailer debuted on the Today show this morning. The movie 'Sparkle' is set for release later this summer in August. Nice to get a sneak peek and see Whitney Houston in her final movie role. The actress Jordin Sparks, who plays the singer's daughter in the movie, has commented that Whitney was an inspiration to the cast.

Monday Rocks!

I just started listening to the new album "Break the Spell" by Daughtry which is their third album and it's Rockin' good. I missed this performance on the Today show earlier this month, but figured it's never too late for Daughtry's music. Let's Rock this Monday right!

Good evening, typing all those number 1's in the post title is so cool. I saw lots of stories on weddings & babies born on this date. I bet anniversaries will be easy to remember :-) I hope your day has been great and the weekend plans for fun have begun. On the last day of the Today show travels with host Matt Lauer, his location reveal was Barbados which he spoofed the Old Spice commercial in the reveal. It was the perfect spot to end the week long segment that has been fantastic. After watching all the delights around Barbados, I would like to vacation there. The food, spirits, music & dance are island delights to enjoy. Plus, walking along the beach watching the sunset in Barbados would be lovely.
