Sweet Slice of Life

Hello readers, it's already Saturday afternoon and there's a mix of sun & clouds, but the sun looks to be taking over. My birdie friends were ready for some yummy seeds this morning. I saw them poking around the yard scooping up leftovers. Most of the kudzu leaves in the backyard aren't so green as there have been several mornings below freezing and that's taking a toll. I complained a few times during the summer months about keeping the kudzu under control, but I do miss the lushness it brought to the backyard. Plus, I think the birds settled in there and I would often see them fly out to feed and head back again.

What's on tap for you this weekend? I bet some folks are gearing up for house guests coming next week for the Thanksgiving holiday. There are probably touches to do on the guest bedroom and bathroom. If the weather is cold, make sure to leave an extra blanket at the end of the bed or on a chair in case your guests want to throw it on the bed at night for warmth.

For me, I need to work on my closet and make adjustments for the season change. I finally found a descent price on apples and they are Fugi's which are a favorite so the fruit bowl will be filled. I spent some time this morning opening up yesterday's mail. One envelope turned out to be a lovely 'Happy Thanksgiving' card from my homeowner's insurance company, Nice.

Enjoy the sweet slice of life that the weekend brings!
