Joy in Simple Things

Good Sunday afternoon, I was amazed at the temperatures feeling like fall today. Let's me know what's in store when the seasons change. I hope the slight breeze keeps up.

I won't hold you long as I have some yard sale items to put back in their place. I only had one lady and her son stop by and she bought a clay pot container. One thing I can say is that it was fun just being outdoors after the clouds blew away and sun came out.

It's nice to find joy in the simple things like waving to a neighbor as they go about the day. Also, thankful for my blog visitors and new followers this week. There is always something new and exciting happening here.

Yard Sale @ Noon

Happy Weekend! You might be surprised that I decided to have a yard sale today. It kicks off at noon because I've been waiting out the cloudy skies and possible morning rain. I have a bargain on shoes and jeans for a dollar.

I forgot this is the tax-free weekend in Georgia so many people may be at the malls already getting their back-to-school shopping on. Hopefully, I will still get some people who will stop by for even more bargains at my yard sale.

Black Butterfly Beauty

Normally I would have been bummed out from the cloudy start to the morning, but this time I welcomed it for keeping the temps from heating up. The sun is out now. What's on tap for the weekend? I like to read articles from the week that I missed and maybe watch a movie online.

After watering and spritzing the flower container this morning, I noticed a black butterfly land on the petunias to feed off some nectar. I watched from the window at it's beauty and this song came to mind. The singer is Deniece Williams and it's one of her biggest hits. Enjoy your day!

Weekend Wrap Up

Just thought I'd send a late Sunday shout out to everybody as the weekend wraps up. I sure hope it's been enjoyable. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I was going to stop by my friend's yard sale on Saturday and I did. She said shoppers were brisk and she sold some things. Another lady had joined in putting some of her stuff out for sale. Her tools were a hit and one fella brought quite a bit of these huge wrenches laid out on the table. I had never seen wrenches that big :-) I snagged a bag of pine straw from my friend's yard which is full of pine trees. She gave me a rake and I went to work filling up the bag. I had to use my bare hands to pick up the pine straw needles which are prickly. But hey, it was worth a little discomfort since I needed the pine straw to freshen up an area in my backyard. The timing was perfect and saved me money from having to buy it at the garden center. All and all, the weekend has been a delight. Here's to a good night's rest so we can be ready for the world tomorrow.

My Yard Sale Find

I found this dress at a yard sale recently. It's perfect for many occasions like an afternoon wedding or evening outing. It has splits on each side that adds a pop to the look and show a little bit of leg:) I love the color and length!
