Terrific Tuesday Tidbit

Hello, got a Terrific Tuesday Tidbit with a healthy spin on it. With the arrival of spring last month, the cold & flu season may be over. Although allergies have taken it's place which sometimes makes people think they have a cold.

Keep the healthy doses of eats plentiful with fruits for vitamin C and fiber by eating oranges, apples or pears. Plus, tomatoes with the good 'ol antioxidants and romaine or green leaf lettuce for salads and sandwiches. Up the ante on all things healthy and include plenty of walking in your daily life. Simply parking your car a little ways from the storefront is a quick way to sneak in exercise anytime. Here's to a healthier you!

Today's Healthy Tip

As the holiday festivities ramp up over the next few weeks, make sure you also ramp up the vitamin C. There will be lots of gatherings where shaking hands in greeting will take place. Keep this healthy tip in mind before you head to plate up some food at the party ->Stop by the bathroom to wash your hands before eating. It will help safeguard against germs before enjoying the festive food & desserts. Of course, a glass of orange juice or eating an orange everyday are doubly good sources of vitamin C. Stay healthy this holiday season and beyond!

Healthy Jolt of Vitamin C

We've all read and heard that it's so important to get Vitamin C into our healthy living especially in the wintertime to fight colds and flu. Now that spring has sprung, it's still just as important to continue getting Vitamin C in the springtime too. I love all those lovely blooms of spring, but not the pollen season that comes with it. Be ready by getting an extra punch of Vitamin C each day with oranges. Grab several at the grocery or market and cut them into quarters. Pack an orange in your lunch and keep a small bowl of them in the refrigerator for easy grab and go snack. Stay Refreshed & Healthy!

Get your jolt of vitamin C by eating an orange daily. Pack one in your brown bag lunch or as an afternoon snack. Also, top your dinner salad with orange slices for added zest and nutrients. Here's to a healthier You!
