Hello blog readers, what's the weekend like so far? My appetite has been way off and I have a taste for Waffle House breakfast even though it's lunch. Although you can order anything at anytime at that place.

Another beautiful day to be out and about. Is that where you will be today or watching some college football games? Either way, have a fun day!

It's Friday Y'all, just a little southern hello from a Georgia blogger;-) I thought this fashion Friday idea was pretty cool ->Tie a colorful scarf around the strap on your handbag to add just the right pop. I'm already thinking of the compliments you will receive while out and about.

Shake, Rattle & Roll TGIF

Hi everybody, I'm feeling giddy on TGIF and ready to shake, rattle & roll the to-do list. Let's meet at the finish line;-) The weather is simply beautiful in Atlanta. I bet many of you are either heading out-of-town for Father's Day weekend or maybe dad lives in the same city. It will be a fun time!

I have a few items to wrap up today. One of them is the possible writing assignment for another blogging site. I need to read over the specifics, but appreciate the chance to showcase my writing skills. I can truly say that my own personal blog has lead to more opportunities like this one.

Since becoming a freelance writer and blogger, keeping an eye out for writing, editing and blogging work is key to gaining experience and name recognition. What's Happening Weekend

Yep, it's a what's happening weekend here on my blog today. Share with us what you have planned, is the weather nice? If so, bet some of you will be getting out and about, firing up the grill, or planting in the garden. Do tell *_*

While I love the fact that so many websites allow bloggers to share material from their sites on blogs, there are some that do not and that's cool. I mean we are responsible for our own content. For instance, TIME does not have a share button for "Blogger," but you can always mention the story and provide the link back to it. Like this one on "The 10 Most Iconic Hairstyles" that caught my eye today. See all the hairstyles here and I'm going to give one away, it's Pam Grier's Afro ~Iconic indeed.

On Atlanta radio station 92.9 dave fm, they have the lost audio from the rock band, The Cure who performed their first U.S. concert in 1980. The audio was thought to be lost, but you can listen to it below. Head over to the station's website which is full of cool stuff like the MP3 of the Day ~grab it for free!

The Versatile Blogger Award

This week I received The Versatile Blogger award from a new follower of my blog. I was really surprised and appreciative of the recognition. The blogger, Carmen Esposito received the award for her own blog In Pursuit of Writing that chronicles her journey to become a writer. Way to go!

I know we all visit and follow lots of blogs and are very supportive. It takes a lot of time to keep up your blog on a daily basis or every few days with interesting posts for the readers. To be able to balance work, family & any other commitments makes a day in the life of a blogger pretty fantastic.

2000th, but who's counting

It's been a mix bag of stuff for me on TGIF. How about your day? You know what, I forgot to mention that yesterday I posted my 2000th blog. It was the one titled "New Month Marches In."  I love blogging and sharing not only the posts I write but music, videos, and stories around the web. This post will make the 2004th, but who's counting, right;-)

Good Sunday afternoon to all my blog readers. I just want to take a few minutes to say 'thank you' to everyone who visits my blog either everyday or on occasion. This is a good post for Bloggers and offers great tips too. I know many of the blogs I follow or read around the internet have guest posts from time to time. I think it's a nice way to showcase and support another bloggers writing. It can also bring attention to your blog that may still be gaining traction in the blog world. I have been giving thought to having "Guest Posts" on my own blog and maybe seeking out guest posting on another bloggers site. This post is right on time and very helpful.
