This is a moving tribute to composer Marvin Hamlisch who died today at the age of 68. The video features the movie posters that Hamlisch composed the music for during his amazing career. One of them is my all-time favorite, the Way We Were.

Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th ~chime in the scary music from the classic 80's movie that had audiences spooked. Also, going to summer camp was probably an interesting time for those attending and camp counselors.

Hamburger And Fries

Not to be outdone on the 13th, but its National French Fries Day. Check out some great places that have the best french fries with this feature on MSN. You have to admit that french fries are good and they don't have to be avoided at every restaurant turn when eaten in moderation. Avoid the "super size" by ordering a small size at the fast food places.

So what's on tap for your Friday the 13th? Just another day huh, Yep! The week has been good and I'm looking forward to the weekend. I think the last few days of rain has moved on, but it sure was nice to get downpours. Have a good TGIF!

1st Drive-In Movie Theater Opened Today

On June 6, 1933, the first drive-in movie theater opened in Camden, New Jersey. The Google Doodle today pays homage on the 79th anniversary. The Google Team is very creative and innovative. I don't know about you, but when I see a new Doodle that you can click on, it's always intriguing to see what's in store.

Creepy Indeed

Creepy sneak peek: Johnny Depp in 'Dark Shadows'

The special effects folks did a good job on Johnny Depp for this movie, check out those nails. I remember the Gothic soap opera 'Dark Shadows' but was too scared to watch it. It was in black and white which would have intrigued me since I love that genre. The movie is directed by Tim Burton so you know he will go all out. The release is scheduled for May and I'm sure will bring back memories for those who watched it. If you did back in the mid-60s to early 70s, leave a comment and let us know what you thought of the show. Creepy indeed!
