Family Fellowship

Blessed Sunday as the family gathers for dinner. The table is filled with soul food bests and you wonder if that is Aunt Cindy's macaroni and cheese on the table ~she makes the best. As other family and friends arrive in their cars, the kids jump out still dressed in their Sunday clothes.

Just before Uncle Bobby gathers everyone to bless the food, you hear someone asks "where's the Kool-Aid?" which is still chilling in the refrigerator. After grace, the jug is soon brought out and the cups are lined up. The flavor is grape and that probably means cousin Ivan made it because that's his favorite flavor.

As everyone hustles around the kitchen, it's a special time of family fellowship. It looks like Auntie Max made her delicious sweet potato pies located on the counter. Yum!

Happy Father's Day

Good Sunday afternoon and sending warm wishes to all the Dad's out there on Father's Day. I hope the day started with a great breakfast and  coffee;-) I called my dad, but didn't reach him yet. I think they are still at church. My brother is a dad with two beautiful daughters.

Have a great time of food, fun and fellowship with family and friends.  Also, the memories of father's that have passed on will always a hold special place in the hearts of loved ones.

Fellowship with Family & Friends

Good Sunday afternoon to all. The houseplants are all watered and bird feeder filled. My makeshift birdbath is getting busy as the birdies are stopping by for a drink and splash to cool down. I can always tell from the water left on the patio.

I have an elderly gentleman friend who is in need of assistance today. He has home health care people who come out three times a week and they were at his home on Friday. I'm heading over to cook some breakfast or more like brunch, retrieve his newspaper, tidy up, etc. We definitely have to check on the elderly who live at home especially those by themselves like my friend.

April Fool's Day

Along with today being April Fool's Day, it's also Palm Sunday. The weather calls for sunshine & warm temps in the mid-80s. A great day to join family, friends and neighbors in fellowship and excellent eats. There might be some jokes & pranks played on us, but it's all in good fun. Be blessed and believe even on a day meant for foolery:-)

Good Sunday Afternoon and I just want to start off by saying thank you to my readers. It really makes my day when you stop by and visit my blog. Keep reading and most of all enjoying the content.

My brother posted a picture on Facebook of his dinner plate from Gladys Knight's Chicken & Waffles. I wish "smell-o-vision" went along with my laptop...don't we all when we see something delicious. I wanted to grab a piece of fried chicken off the plate. No matter if your Sunday dinner is takeout or prepared in the kitchen at home, enjoy time with family and friends along with great fellowship.
