Today is writer and poet Alice Walker's birthday. She wrote the bestselling novel "The Color Purple" which was made into a movie and directed by Steven Spielberg. Check on Amazon for more of her novels and poems to add to your collection. Ms. Walker was born in Eatonton, GA and that's a nice connection to our state. In celebration of Alice Walker's birthday, I thought one of her quotes would be nice:~>"I have learned not to worry about love; but to honor its coming with all my heart."
