World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is observed on December 1 every year to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. The Red Ribbon is the global symbol for solidarity with HIV positive people and those living with AIDS.

I applaud Bono of the group U2 with his efforts in the fight for AIDS research and charity work especially in developing countries. Bono was at the White House today as President Obama made remarks on the Administration's new commitments to fight AIDS in the U.S.
