Pier 1 Imports and Design Star

I remember when David Bromstad was a candidate on HGTV's "Design Star" some years ago. The winner had the chance at their own design show on the channel. David Bromstad won and his career has taken off. I recall that David always had a knack for adding a painting of his own to the space he was working on.

Pier 1 Imports is having a contest for viewers to vote on the best original painting by David Bromstad from three paintings centered around items he found at Pier 1 Imports. On CBS News yesterday, one of the stories on 60 Minutes was a look into the life of the famous painter Vincent van Gogh. It was quite revealing and we all know his paintings and drawings are masterpieces. He is one of my favorite painters and he not only painted sunflowers, but beautiful Irises. This quote goes well with the painting ->"There is no blue without yellow and without orange." ~Vincent van Gogh
