Motivation Quote of the Day

Hello everybody and here we are back at Monday. Did you hit the ground running as the saying goes? OK, so did the college kids head out this morning on their way to class? It's their big week!

If we all needed some motivation today, here is a great quote from Jim Rohn. He is a motivational speaker, businessman, and writer of self-help books. Check out some of his written work on Amazon.

Here's the Motivation Quote of the Day:
"If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's life plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much." ~Jim Rohn

Wednesday Evening Post

Hi everybody, just popping back over on the blog for a few minutes. I hope your day was fine on Hump Day. I'm watching an episode of the hit sitcom "Seinfeld" that still airs on Atlanta TV channels. I have seen them all;-) The week is moving along at a steady clip. Keep moving forward!

Prayer is Powerful

As I rise each day taking a deep breath of all God's glory, I know he is watching over me. The path at the fork in the road has me wondering will I go left or right on to something new. Which will I choose? One thing I do know, Prayer is Powerful.

Quote of the Day

From legendary actress Bette Davis comes the Quote of the Day. I like this quote because it applies to anything we do or attempt in our walks of life. Playing it safe is a bet, but step out of that comfy box sometimes.

"Attempt the impossible to improve your work." ~Bette Davis

Thought for the Day

Setbacks, we all have had them. Take time to focus on the situation and regroup. Try not to let setbacks in your life become permanent. Make them temporary by staying positive and moving forward.

All Things New

It's a new year, new week, and new you. If you make new year's resolutions, I bet they are already being put into play. Here's a good idea to keep you on track towards all things new in your life and this year:

Keep new goals in perspective and move along towards them at a pace that is comfortable for you. If your plan is to exercise more, start out with a few days at the gym or home routine. Don't burn out by doing too much so fast that you drop off altogether. The same holds true for organizing your life and space. I believe everyone should have goals to strive towards, but moderation is important and sustainable. Good Luck in Year 2011!

Tip of the Day

Write out a to-list daily to keep track of your tasks for the day. Our lives are so busy and trying to keep it all in our head can be a bit much. Keep pen and paper handy to add and/or check off all that you complete in your day. Good Luck!

Welcome to My Blog

I am very excited about starting my blog. I finally hit the Publish Post icon after some hesitation, but decided to stop waiting for that so-called right moment. When is that really?

Simply Positive reflects how I live my daily life. I have experienced some tribulations along the way, but really believe in the power of positive thinking to help move life along. I am moving forward with ideas for my life in the new year. I have embraced social media and joined Facebook last spring. My mom and brother were already on the site, and I find that I am posting updates and information daily. I have met old and new friends since joining. My brother, who is very tech-savvy, encouraged me to join Twitter, which I did last summer. Check out his great blog. I have enjoyed the wide-variety of information that people share and find it useful and fun!

I plan to blog about a variety of topics especially budgeting, organizing, and healthy living. I hope you will follow along with me and comment on my posts. Stay tuned!
