World Water Day

The International World Water Day is held annually on March 22 as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

It's nice to know that we have access to fresh water everyday. We can turn on the faucet to fill our glasses with ease and some have water filters attached to the sink to ensure freshness. But there are many countries and citizens who do not have access like this and it has to be a challenge each day to find clean water. After a major disaster like an earthquake, typhoon, drought or Tsunami, fresh water is in short supply to fulfill the needs of the communities. Furthermore, many times the water isn't safe to drink given disease and cleanliness. World Water Day is very important for ways to bring freshwater to everyone!
