Beautiful Hummingbirds

After jumping online to catch up with emails and other stuff, I glanced out the door leading out to the patio and saw a lone hummingbird flying around the flower planter which contains purple petunias. The bird hung around for awhile going from bloom to bloom and then flew away. I'm fascinated by the hummingbirds fluttering wings and speed. I was glad to be in the right spot to see their beauty. Happy Sunday!

  1. Oh, that's wonderful. I love hummingbirds. I had one in my garden last week. Once, while vacationing in the tropics, I saw a little hummingbird next in some vines on the balcony railing outside my room. The eggs were smaller than my little fingernail, and when the babies hatched their heads were the size of a pea.

  2. Good Evening Galen and nice to know you've had some of these birds in your garden. It makes me stop and stare until they fly away. I bet those babies spotted on your vacation were so small.

  3. Ah, the hummingbird; I sit and watch them nibble at ripened mangoes in Barbados and Jamaica. A wonderful treat;-)
