Healthy Tip of the Day

Its Summer
The temperatures are on the rise across the country and some states are well over 100 degrees like Arizona. I saw where the temps there will reach 110. The Atlanta area is forecasting 102 by the weekend.

Now more than ever in this heatwave, we need to drink plenty of water throughout the day. If you drink coffee, it's important to drink lots of water after several cups to replenish hydration. I know there are lots of people who enjoy soft drinks, but water is the better refresher and replaces electrolytes lost during activities like exercising.

Before heading on your commute to work or errands, place your water bottle in the freezer a few minutes so it stays cold longer. Actually, one of those insulated water bottles is better than the plastic ones because the water will stay colder while dashing in and out of the car on a hot day. Plus, it's more eco-friendly!

  1. Oh dont I know it! It was 103 here in Louisiana. I try to drink a 16oz glass of water with every meal anyway but anytime I head out the door I put some cold water in a to go 20 oz water bottle with me. My little boy got his own water bottle too with a little bit of Chrystal Light for flavor.
