Typewriters are no relic

Typewriters are making a comeback among collectors and users – USATODAY.com
Say what! In this technology-driven world today, it seems not everybody has ditched the typewriter. Many of us probably took typing as a course in high school. I did and remember my early days starting out as a secretary using the IBM typewriter. From the story, people are not only collecting vintage typewriters, but using them for their work. I can imagine a writer typing so fast using only a couple of fingers to hit the keys. Now that's classic!

Supreme Jet-Setters

This is a great vintage photo of Diana Ross and the Supremes. I bet they were jet-setting in from a concert or television performance. The Supremes were featured on The Ed Sullivan Show quite a bit and it gave them lots of exposure. I love their vintage clothes and luggage in the photo. Three ladies with plenty of glam style & class!

Take a look around this loft. There is lots of natural light from the windows and the open feel of the loft shows well. My two faves ->vintage posters and red sinks!

Colorful Kitchen Idea

I got this blog post inspiration after watching the Rachel Ray Show today. For starters, I really like the set design on her show. Not only is the refrigerator vintage powder blue, but there are lots of colorful items on the counter top and shelving in the kitchen area. Here's my colorful idea:

If you have plates, bowls, or any other items in bright colors and designs that are kept inside the kitchen cabinets, bring them out in the open and stack on the counter top, baker's rack, or table. Let them add pops of delightful color around the kitchen.
