Crisp Fall Weekend

It's nice that the first Saturday starts in the new month of October. The fall temps are here and for the first time a jacket or sweater will be needed when out and about this weekend. The skies are filled with pure sunshine so don't forget your favorite pair of sunglasses. By the way, what are your weekend plans? Mine include a grocery store run for a few items and I'm thinking about visiting the new flea market that opened last month. I haven't been back since the grand opening so there might be new booths and stuff. I better call my pal to see if she would like to go with me. It's just too nice to be indoors although there are some good college football games worth watching. Better check the schedule to make sure you get back in time to cheer on your teams. I just glanced out the back door and there are group of doves enjoying the seeds I put out earlier. They are so beautiful and I'm glad they keep coming back.

Weekend Tidbits

Hello Everybody, hope fun stuff is in your weekend plans. I opened the window blinds to nothing but sunshine. I enjoyed my first cup of coffee out on the patio, but it was kind of cool. I put some seeds in the bird feeder and tossed some in the yard. It didn't take long for the birds to swoop in.. I have cardinals, doves, wrens, and a few more varieties who are frequent visitors to the yard. There is a grand opening for a new flea market today. My buddy and I plan to check it out. In the tough economy, I am sure many people are shopping at places like this and thrift stores. If the items are in good shape, you can find great buys at reasonable prices. Do you have much in the way of household chores to do? It's good to get the entire family in on the chores with tasks they can do. There are lots of weekend events in Atlanta including the Braves, Falcons, and college football games. Also, the Atlanta Dream our WNBA ladies basketball team are in the playoffs. Don't forget about the big fight later tonight on HBO Pay-per-View, Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz. I'll watch the British comedies on public broadcasting. My fave is "Keeping up Appearances," it's a hoot! One thing I didn't do this morning was make my early run to the grocery store. I have just a few pick ups so I snoozed a little longer. My basket that holds bananas is empty so they will be on my list...I don't want to miss my daily dose of potassium. Happy Weekend!

A Sunday Short

Just a short Sunday post to say hello everyone! I had the most fun yesterday hanging out with one of my gal pals. We went to our favorite flea market to look around and find bargains. There is a booth that carries really fresh veggies and fruits. Unfortunately, they weren't there so we were a bit bummed out. They are always in the same spot and we thought somehow we just missed them. It's an elderly couple who are the friendliest and make you feel welcome at their booth. I did find a cute picture frame for only $.50 cents. It's sitting on my coffee table without a picture in it for now :-) I bought some peaches that are so fresh. I love the aroma when they are sitting on the kitchen counter and had one for brunch today. This was supposed to be a short post right, I'd better close now. Have a lovely day!
