Clean Up Caddy

SmileyAh, spring cleaning has begun around many households including my own. It's a great time to refresh the home from the winter season. In the new weekly ad from Publix, they are having a "Spring Cleaning Sale" with lots of cleaning products on sale and buy-one-get-one-free deals.

The clean up caddy is just a plastic carry all with a handle that keeps all the cleaning products used around the house in one place. Grab the caddy as you go from room to room. Keep the towels and rubber gloves tucked in the caddy too. Store it under the kitchen sink and replenish the products as needed.

With all the spring cleaning deals in the Publix ad, you can have a clean up caddy for upstairs if you live in a two-story home. The family members can grab the caddy to use in their room which parents hope they will do, right.

Rainy Reflection

Good Thursday afternoon! Nice rainfall today which is needed so badly. The lawn service was out earlier to cut the grass and it was lovely to pull up the driveway and see the lush green lawn. I really like having a garage and driving right inside especially when it's pouring down raining. When I lived in an apartment, I would sit in the car waiting for the rain to slack up to make a run for the building. While trying to balance the umbrella, I grabbed any bags needed to be carried in all in one swoop to make only one trip. I remember having little furnishings starting out in my first apartment and still live a modest lifestyle. I seem to be in a reflective mood, must be the rain ;-) In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's nice to take a few minutes to look back on times in life and reflect a bit. You've come a long way Baby!

Renter's Insurance, So Worth It

Yesterday a fire broke out at my neighbor's town home. A brush fire somehow started and the home sustained heavy damage to the siding and to the one next door that's empty and for sale. The young couple and their three children made it out safely and they will be able to stay there which is good news. They are renting the town home and she mentioned that they do not have renter's insurance.

As a homeowner, I have to have insurance. A renter's insurance policy is optional and many people just aren't covered. Although, I am hearing that some apartment complexes are requiring tenants to have renter's insurance and I suspect private landlords may be too. Don't be left uncovered even though you are just renting. Determine how much it will cost to replace your items and get a renter's policy that will cover any losses. Check with the insurance company that covers your car because you can usually get a discount if you have multiple coverages with the same company. It's so worth it!
