Remembering Whitney's 49th Birthday

Today would have been singer Whitney Houston's 49th birthday. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote a short blog which included the Trailer for the movie "Sparkle." You can read the blog post here.

Everyone is anticipating the movie release on Friday and I'm sure the theaters will be packed to see the late Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks and the rest of the cast. In remembrance of Whitney's 49th birthday, I wanted to play one of her more upbeat songs and this is my fave, "How Will I Know." Happy Birthday, RIP!

Gangster Style Swag

The movie Trailer for Gangster Squad is full of swag. It has an all-star cast with Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, and Emma Stone. I heard a song by rapper Jay-Z playing in the Trailer and I think it's in my CD collection. Yep, the song is "Oh My God" from Jay-Z's Kingdom Come album, it's got swag too;-)

An action-packed Trailer for the new movie 'John Carter' opening on Friday, March 9. Just who is this 'John Carter' anyway :-) We will find out tomorrow along with the awesome special effects.

Return of Ridley Scott

Remember the hit movie Alien the supernatural thriller that had moviegoers intrigued and spooked? Well, Director Ridley Scott returns with "Prometheus" due out in June 2012. From the Trailer, the special effects alone are thrilling. Can't wait for this one!

Tyler Perry's Good Deeds' movie trailer

This new movie just came out, but thought some may have missed the trailer leading up to it's release. Tyler Perry directs and stars in the movie which he is best known for especially in the "Madea" movies. The cast includes Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, Gabrielle Union and others.

Tyler Perry has a fabulous studio located in Atlanta. Take a tour and see the cafeteria, workout room, his office, and back lot where the sets for his comedy television shows and movies are shot. Late last week, I read that Tyler Perry was looking for extras to provide "laugh tracks" for his shows. I emailed my information, but didn't get a call. It was a long shot given the responses they probably received. It was going to be a one day gig. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another call for extras...just never know;-)

Men In Black 3 - Official Trailer (HD)

Great Trailer and even greater to have Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones together for Men in Black 3. Usually by the time a movie gets to the third remake, the main characters aren't cast for one reason or another. We'll have to wait until May 2012 for the movie release, bet it will be worth it!

This movie is all the Buzz as Trailers for it are out. The release date is next spring of March 2012. Check out these posters. Of course, I picked out the one of Lenny Kravitz who plays the character Cinna. Also, Woody Harrelson stars in the movie and there is a poster of him too.
