Super Duper Weekend

Just a quick post to welcome in the weekend and say hello. My day got off to a early start to the grocery store. I wanted to get this errand done to beat the heat. Also, many homeowner's including myself received letters from our HOA about painting our shutters which have begun to fade. My next door neighbors have the same color shutters as mine which is brown. We plan to split the cost of a gallon of paint. I can't wait to see the brighter look after we finish. Gotta love those HOA's!

The World's Oldest Light Bulb Has Been On for 110 Years, Time.com
Really, this story is amazing! It got me thinking about the light bulbs in my house. When was the last time I had to change some of them? I know it's not been 110 years :-)

Tax Refund ->Save It

If you are expecting a tax refund, start thinking about what you will do with the money. The best plan for the refund is to save it. But, there may be some much-needed things that the refund can take care of that you have been putting off due to low cash flow. Here are a few uses for your refund:

--->Home repairs: gutters, painting, new appliances
--->New set of tires or any upkeep for the car
--->Family vacation: spring break, summer vacation, camp

Now is the time to give some thought to just how you will use the refund before it arrives in the mail or checking account. Keep in mind that the 'rainy day' fund comes in mighty handy in a pinch. Save for It!
