There was talk a month ago that the NBC Today show may let Ann Curry go. This was all around the time that the news station was negotiating co-host Matt Lauer's contract which was renewed.

I was very excited when Ann was given the co-host spot after Meredith Vieira announced she was leaving the Today show. Now it seems NBC is ready to find another position for Ann Curry like a foreign correspondent. She snagged an interview with the Iran President earlier this year and that's no small task.

This is just my opinion, but I wonder if the network is moving to bring on a younger co-host. I hope Ann Curry remains on the Today show, but it looks highly unlikely.

This week begins the favorite feature on the Today show called "Where in the World is Matt Lauer." It began yesterday with travel to Namibia, Africa. Today, he was in Madrid, Spain. He gives clues to the other show hosts and audience to figure out 'where in the world' he is on that day. I think this segment on the Today show is a great way for viewers to travel the world to places we may only dream of ever seeing. I know many of us are getting ready for work in the morning and may not have time to watch the show. Not to worry, you can always watch online later.
